What to expect with laser correction
- FREE SCREENING to determine your candidacy and which procedure is
best for you. "One size does not fit all at Fox Eye."
- At the conclusion of the FREE SCREENING, Dr. Riggs, our Fox Eye optometrist,
will meet with you to discuss your procedure. Dr. Riggs is fellowship-trained
in the management of refractive surgical patients.
- The next step is to schedule a comprehensive evaluation. This appointment,
which includes additional testing and dilation of your eyes, takes approximately
two to two and one-half hours. (Depending on how you typically respond
to having your eyes dilated, you may wish to have a driver available.)
It is important to have your eyes in their "natural" state;
therefore, if you normally wear soft contact lens, you should be out
of your contacts for a minimum of two weeks prior to this appointment.
If you wear hard contact lens, leave your contacts out for a minimum
of four weeks prior to this appointment. There is a charge for this
appointment, which is payable at the time of the appointment. Since
this examination is included in the quoted price of refractive surgery,
the charge is deducted from the cost of surgery on the day of the procedure.
- SCHEDULE YOUR SURGERY to reduce or eliminate your need for glasses!
